Echoes of Untold Lives

Live Performances

Live Performances

Despite being central to royal life, little is known about the servants and workers who ran the royal palaces. They were never in the spotlight but without them the palace could not have functioned.

Untold Lives Performances

Meet the people who worked in the shadows of history and ran the palace from behind the scenes. From governesses and gentleman ushers to rat catchers, all have a fascinating story to tell. You might catch them in conversation whilst they break from chores, or spot them around the palace as they go about their day.

Through live performances and conversations with our expert palace guides, discover their forgotten histories in Echoes of Untold Lives, inspired by our Untold Lives exhibition.
